A fun and delicious sushi-inspired bake that’s easy to prepare and perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 1 pound cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Nori sheets, cut into strips
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice in a rice cooker or on the stove using 2 1/2 cups of water.
  3. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Sriracha sauce together.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, mix in the mayonnaise mixture and flaked salmon.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until heated through.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with soy sauce, avocado slices, and chopped green onions.
  8. Serve with nori strips and garnish with sesame seeds.

Notes

Rinse sushi rice well to remove excess starch. Adjust Sriracha according to your heat preference.
