Description

Delightful brownies combining rich chocolate flavor with sweet strawberries, easy to make for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.33 cup salted butter, melted (or 1/3 cup oil)
  • 1 tsp strawberry extract
  • 0.75 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp strawberry preserves
  • 1.5 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, melted butter, and strawberry extract in a large mixing bowl. Mix until well combined. The batter will be thick.
  3. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 18–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Remove from the oven and set the pan on a wire rack to cool completely.
  5. Whisk together the powdered sugar, strawberry preserves, and milk in a small bowl until smooth to make the glaze.
  6. Pour the glaze over the cooled brownies and spread it evenly.
  7. Cut into 9 large pieces or 12 smaller pieces and serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for about a week. Can be frozen for longer storage.
