- 1 box strawberry cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- 0.33 cup salted butter, melted (or 1/3 cup oil)
- 1 tsp strawberry extract
- 0.75 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp strawberry preserves
- 1.5 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, melted butter, and strawberry extract in a large mixing bowl. Mix until well combined. The batter will be thick.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 18–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and set the pan on a wire rack to cool completely.
- Whisk together the powdered sugar, strawberry preserves, and milk in a small bowl until smooth to make the glaze.
- Pour the glaze over the cooled brownies and spread it evenly.
- Cut into 9 large pieces or 12 smaller pieces and serve.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for about a week. Can be frozen for longer storage.
