Description

A delicious and satisfying Swiss mushroom melt that combines earthy mushrooms with creamy Swiss cheese, perfect for lunch or dinner.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices bread (your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Toast the bread slices lightly in a toaster or on a pan.
  5. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of the cooked mushrooms in the skillet.
  6. Allow the cheese to melt for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve the cheesy mushroom mixture on each toasted bread slice.
  8. Top with another slice of Swiss cheese if desired.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
