Description

A vibrant salad that combines fresh figs, tangy blue cheese, and crispy prosciutto, celebrating the flavors of summer.

Ingredients

  • Fresh figs
  • Blue cheese
  • Crispy prosciutto
  • Mixed greens (such as arugula or spinach)
  • Walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • Olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place slices of prosciutto on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until crispy.
  3. Wash and dry the mixed greens.
  4. Slice the figs in half or quarters.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, figs, and crumbled blue cheese.
  6. If using, add walnuts or pecans.
  7. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then season with salt and pepper.
  8. Toss gently to combine, then top with crispy prosciutto just before serving.

Notes

Use ripe figs for maximum sweetness and flavor. If you can’t find blue cheese, feta works well as an alternative.
