- 6 to 8 tablespoons ice water
Instructions
- Combine the flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Add the chilled, diced butter and blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the ice water, one tablespoon at a time, until the mixture comes together.
- Divide the dough into two balls, wrap them in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness when ready to use.
Notes
Keep everything cold: Ensure your butter and water are very cold to get a flaky crust. Don’t over-mix to avoid tough crust.
