Description

A delightful breakfast dish that transforms simple bread into a warm, sweet treat, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp sugar (optional)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence (optional)
  • 8 slices of bread
  • Butter for frying

Instructions

  1. Whisk together eggs and milk until well combined. Add sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla if desired.
  2. Heat a non-stick fry pan over medium heat and add butter until melted.
  3. Dip two slices of bread into the egg mixture for about 30 seconds per side.
  4. Cook the soaked bread in the heated pan for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Repeat with remaining bread slices and serve warm with your choice of toppings.

Notes

Use thick slices of brioche or challah for the best texture. Let bread soak in the egg mixture longer for more flavor.
