Description

Fufu is a versatile West African side dish made from cassava flour, perfect for pairing with various soups and stews.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cassava flour
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Gradually add the cassava flour while stirring to avoid lumps.
  3. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pot.
  4. Add salt to taste.
  5. Pour the fufu into a bowl and let it cool slightly before serving with a savory broth or stew.

Notes

Make sure to stir constantly when adding the cassava flour to prevent lumps. Use a wooden spoon for easier mixing and a smooth texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
