Description
A delicious dish combining the rich flavors of steak with a creamy and savory parmesan sauce, perfect for special occasions or cozy dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Begin by seasoning the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
- Once the butter is hot, add the steaks to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare, or longer if you prefer your steak more done.
- When the steaks are cooked to your liking, remove them from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Gradually add the Parmesan cheese, whisking until it melts and the sauce is smooth.
- Taste for seasoning, adding more salt and pepper if needed.
- Slice the steaks and serve them drizzled with the creamy garlic parmesan sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Let your steak come to room temperature before cooking for even cooking. For extra flavor, consider marinating the steak for a few hours before cooking.
