- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 celery stalks, sliced
- 6 cups beef broth
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups egg noodles
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Drain the excess fat.
- Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until the onion is translucent.
- Add the sliced carrots and celery, cooking until softened.
- Combine the beef broth and diced tomatoes and bring to a boil.
- Cook the egg noodles and dried thyme in the boiling broth until tender.
- Season with salt and pepper, then serve hot.
