Description

Enjoy all the flavors of a burger without the extra carbs from a bun with these Healthy Burger Bowls, filled with fresh ingredients and customizable toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup avocado mayo
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced cherry tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/3 cup sliced pickles
  • 1/3 cup cooked, chopped bacon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix the ground turkey with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
  2. Cook the patties in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
  3. Prepare the special burger sauce by mixing avocado mayo, ketchup, Dijon mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Assemble the bowls with chopped romaine lettuce, cooked turkey patties, cherry tomatoes, red onion, pickles, chopped bacon, and cheddar cheese. Drizzle with special sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Keep ingredients separate if possible.
