Description

A delicious and guilt-free treat, this Healthy Greek Yogurt Ice Cream is packed with protein and perfect for hot days or as a light dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3.5 cups Greek yogurt (preferably Fage Total 5%)
  • 6 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (recommend Nielsen-Massey pure vanilla)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  2. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream machine and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (20-25 minutes) until soft-serve consistency.
  3. Transfer churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 4-6 hours or overnight until firm.
  4. Remove from freezer 5-10 minutes before serving to soften slightly for easy scooping. Serve in bowls or cones with your choice of toppings.

Notes

Use full-fat Greek yogurt for a creamier texture. Experiment with different sweeteners or mix-ins for variety.
