Description

A flavorful and nutritious marinade that makes chicken juicy and tender, perfect for grilling, baking, or air frying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 3/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 cup yogurt
  • 5 cloves garlic (freshly minced)
  • 1.5 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry using paper towels. If any parts are thick, gently flatten them by pressing down with your hand.
  2. Combine the yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, oregano, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix until well blended.
  3. Place the dried chicken breasts in a bowl or a large zip-top bag. Pour the yogurt marinade over the chicken, turning to coat all sides evenly.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
  5. Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before cooking.
  6. For grilling: Preheat the grill to medium-high and cook the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  7. For baking: Place chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 425°F for 16-18 minutes until it reaches 165°F.
  8. For air frying: Arrange chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook at 375°F for 8 minutes. Flip and then cook for an additional 4-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  9. Transfer the cooked chicken to a clean plate. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  10. Serve warm with rice, roasted vegetables, or a crisp salad.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for the best flavor. Let the chicken marinate longer if you have the time; this will enhance the taste.
