Description

These High Protein Pepperoni Pizza Rolls are a delicious snack or meal option, packed with protein and flavor, making them a healthier alternative to traditional pizza rolls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (or almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
  • 1 cup low-fat shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup turkey pepperoni (or turkey bacon)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the whole wheat flour, Greek yogurt, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the dough, leaving a small border. Layer the turkey pepperoni on top.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other and slice into 1-inch pieces.
  6. Place the pizza rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Make sure to roll the dough evenly for even baking. Experiment with toppings for variety.
