Celebrate the Jewish New Year with these delightful Honey and Apple Rosh Hashanah Desserts, a perfect treat symbolizing sweetness and hope for the year ahead.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey
  • 3 cups apples, diced
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup dates, chopped
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with honey.
  5. Fold in diced apples, chopped nuts, and dates.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool and serve. Optionally, drizzle with honey and garnish with pomegranate seeds.
