- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for grilling
Instructions
- Whisk together honey, barbecue sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the BBQ sauce.
- Marinate chicken breasts in the honey BBQ sauce for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight in the fridge.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Oil the grill grates lightly.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and grill for about 6-8 minutes per side or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Brush with additional honey BBQ sauce during the last few minutes of cooking for a glossy finish.
- Serve hot, optionally over a mound of rice or alongside your favorite sides.
