Description

Honey Glazed Carrots are a simple yet delicious side dish that can brighten up any meal with their sweet and buttery flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Carrots, peeled and cut into uniform pieces (baby carrots can also be used)
  • 3 tablespoons Honey (or maple syrup for a vegan alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (or olive oil for a dairy-free option)
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Thyme or Parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • ¼ cup Water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the carrots by washing and peeling them, then cutting into uniform pieces.
  2. Heat the pan by melting the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the carrots to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the melted butter or oil.
  4. Incorporate honey, salt, and black pepper, stirring to ensure even coating.
  5. Steam the carrots by pouring in the water and covering the skillet for about 5 minutes.
  6. Uncover and increase heat to medium-high, cooking for another 3-5 minutes until the carrots are tender and the sauce thickens.
  7. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley before serving warm.

Notes

For variations, try adding a splash of orange juice or grated ginger for a citrusy twist. Adjust sweetness based on personal taste.
