- 16 ounces spiral noodles
- 25 ounces breaded chicken strips
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese (freshly shredded)
- 3/4 cup colby jack cheese (freshly shredded)
- 5 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
- Basil for garnish
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the chicken according to package instructions and set aside.
- Boil water in a large pot and cook spiral noodles until al dente. Drain the noodles.
- In a saucepan, create the honey pepper sauce by combining honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, pineapple juice, lemon juice, vinegar, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Simmer the mixture until it thickens.
- In a frying pan over low heat, melt butter and gradually add heavy cream. Then, add the parmesan, mozzarella, and colby jack cheeses until the sauce is smooth.
- Combine the cooked noodles with the cheese sauce and crumbled bacon.
- Coat the chicken strips in the honey pepper sauce and serve them on top of the pasta.
- Garnish with fresh basil before enjoying your meal.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider using grilled chicken instead of breaded strips. Adjust spice level as desired.
