Description

A perfect combination of creamy, spicy, and savory flavors with ricotta and mozzarella cheeses, drizzled with hot honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup fresh ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 12 tablespoons hot honey (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (for extra heat, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to ensure a crispy crust.
  2. Prepare the dough: Roll out the pre-made pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Add olive oil: Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet and brush the surface with olive oil to enhance the flavor and prevent sticking.
  4. Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella on top of the ricotta for wonderful melty goodness.
  6. Season with dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Finish by drizzling hot honey over the pizza while it’s still hot.
  9. Add fresh basil leaves and optional crushed red pepper flakes for an extra kick.

Notes

For an even crispier crust, bake the pizza directly on a preheated pizza stone or an upside-down baking sheet. Experiment with different cheeses for a unique flavor twist.
