- 1 cup fresh ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1–2 tablespoons hot honey (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)
- Crushed red pepper flakes (for extra heat, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to ensure a crispy crust.
- Prepare the dough: Roll out the pre-made pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Add olive oil: Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet and brush the surface with olive oil to enhance the flavor and prevent sticking.
- Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Sprinkle mozzarella on top of the ricotta for wonderful melty goodness.
- Season with dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Finish by drizzling hot honey over the pizza while it’s still hot.
- Add fresh basil leaves and optional crushed red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
Notes
For an even crispier crust, bake the pizza directly on a preheated pizza stone or an upside-down baking sheet. Experiment with different cheeses for a unique flavor twist.
