Description

A delightful twist on the classic lasagna featuring shrimp, crab, and creamy cheeses for a gourmet touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Lasagna Noodles (Use either no-boil or regular noodles)
  • 1 pound Shrimp (Peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup Crab Meat (Fresh lump crab preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (For sautéing)
  • 23 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream (Avoid low-fat options)
  • 1 jar Alfredo Sauce (Homemade or store-bought)
  • 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese (For creaminess)
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese (Low-moisture type)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (Fresh, grated)
  • 1/4 cup Parsley (Chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. If you are using regular lasagna noodles, cook them according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and add the crab meat. Stir gently to combine and season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, Alfredo sauce, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Mix until smooth.
  6. In a baking dish, spread a layer of the cheese mixture on the bottom. Place a layer of noodles on top, followed by a layer of the shrimp and crab mixture. Repeat layering, finishing with a layer of the cheese mixture on top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the top. If you like, add breadcrumbs for a crunchy topping.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use fresh seafood for the best flavor. To enrich the taste, consider adding lemon zest or a splash of white wine. Let the lasagna rest before cutting for better shape.
