Description

A delicious twist on traditional garlic bread made with Greek yogurt for a soft and fluffy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 1/4 cups Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted and cooled)
  • 3 tsp garlic (freshly minced)
  • 3 tsp Italian herbs
  • 2 1/2 cups cheese (shredded mozzarella)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  2. Combine the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt in a medium bowl, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a lightly greased 9×13 inch baking sheet, pressing it out to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  4. Drizzle the cooled melted butter evenly over the dough.
  5. Mix the minced garlic, Italian herbs, black pepper, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl.
  6. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the dough, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let the bread cool for 2-3 minutes, then cut into squares or strips and serve warm.

Notes

Best served warm with pasta, soup, or salad. Pairs well with marinara sauce.
