- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- ½ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Cream the softened butter until creamy and add granulated sugar gradually.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in buttermilk and maple syrup.
- Combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk together.
- Cool the bars for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
- Slice and serve the bars after drizzling with the maple glaze.
