Description

These Maple Donut Bars are pure comfort food, combining the delicious flavors of maple syrup with a fluffy texture. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 23 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter until creamy and add granulated sugar gradually.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in buttermilk and maple syrup.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk together.
  8. Cool the bars for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Slice and serve the bars after drizzling with the maple glaze.
