Description

A refreshing and creamy Key Lime Pie that transports you to sunny beaches with every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Lime slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest until smooth.
  5. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, then let cool to room temperature.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  8. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  9. Spread the whipped cream over the pie and garnish with lime slices before serving.
