Description

A hearty and delicious cornbread casserole, customizable with your favorite ingredients, perfect for gatherings or comforting meals.


Ingredients

  • 1 box cornbread mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 can creamed corn
  • 1 cup milk (Regular or almond milk can be used)
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon or sausage (optional)
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers or onions (optional)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix the cornbread mix, creamed corn, milk, and eggs in a large bowl until well combined.
  3. Add the cooked bacon or sausage, diced peppers or onions, cheese, salt, and pepper if using. Mix everything together.
  4. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
