Description

A quick and tasty meal perfect for busy weeknights, featuring seasoned ground beef, fresh veggies, and a creamy garlic yogurt sauce in pita wraps.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing onions)
  • 1 count onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 pound ground beef (preferably lean)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 count lemon (juiced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • a pinch salt
  • 4 count pita breads (warmed)
  • to taste shredded lettuce
  • to taste diced tomatoes
  • to taste sliced cucumbers
  • to taste crumbled feta cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and sauté until it’s soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add the ground beef to the pan. Cook until it’s browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  5. Season the beef with paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it cook for a few more minutes, ensuring the spices are well combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and a pinch of salt to create your garlic yogurt sauce.
  7. Warm the pita breads in a microwave or on a skillet.
  8. Assemble the wraps by placing the seasoned beef inside the pita, adding shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, and crumbled feta cheese.
  9. Drizzle the garlic yogurt sauce on top before wrapping up your pita.

Notes

Serve the pita wraps warm, with extra garlic yogurt sauce on the side for dipping. Optionally, include additional fresh veggies or a salad.
