Description

A flavor-packed Mediterranean wrap featuring ground chicken, warm spices, and a delicious hot honey feta cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken (can substitute with turkey or lean beef)
  • 1 tablespoon Mediterranean spices (oregano, cumin, paprika)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (can use avocado oil)
  • 4 pieces wrap (pita or tortilla, whole wheat preferred)
  • 1 cup feta cheese (can substitute with goat cheese)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (maple syrup can be a vegan substitute)
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 cup Greek yogurt (can substitute with sour cream)

Instructions

  1. Cook the chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and Mediterranean spices, and cook until the chicken is browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Make the feta cream: In a bowl, combine feta cheese, honey, and red pepper flakes. Mix until smooth. If it’s too thick, add a little Greek yogurt to achieve the desired consistency.
  3. Prepare the wraps: Warm the wraps in a dry skillet or microwave to make them pliable.
  4. Assemble the wraps: Spread a generous amount of the feta cream on each wrap. Then, add a portion of the cooked chicken on top.
  5. Roll and serve: Roll the wraps tightly and cut them in half. Serve with extra Greek yogurt on the side if desired.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, try using chickpeas or lentils instead of ground chicken. Adjust the spices according to your preference for more or less heat.
