Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and instant yeast.
- Add the warm water and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 720-1080 minutes.
- Once the dough has risen, preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat.
- Carefully turn the dough out onto a floured surface, shape it into a ball, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Once the Dutch oven is hot, carefully place the dough inside, cover it with the lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
For a more intense cheddar flavor, choose sharp cheddar cheese. You can also add herbs or spices for extra flavor.
