Description

A delightful dish that combines tender chicken breasts with aromatic basil and rice, perfect for weeknights or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet, cooking until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, lime juice, and fresh basil leaves.
  5. Layer the cooked rice in a baking dish and place the chicken on top.
  6. Pour any remaining sauce over the chicken and rice.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  8. Remove from the oven, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh basil for the best flavor. For a spicy twist, add chopped chili peppers or chili flakes to the sauce.
