- 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Brown the chicken sausage in the skillet until caramelized, about 5–7 minutes.
- Sauté the minced garlic for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender.
- Combine the orzo pasta and chicken broth, bringing to a rolling boil.
- Simmer covered for 10-12 minutes until the orzo absorbs the liquid.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
Notes
