Description

A comforting, hearty one-pan meal combining chicken sausage, orzo, and broccoli, perfect for busy nights and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Brown the chicken sausage in the skillet until caramelized, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender.
  5. Combine the orzo pasta and chicken broth, bringing to a rolling boil.
  6. Simmer covered for 10-12 minutes until the orzo absorbs the liquid.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve warm with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
