Description

Delicious tender chicken coated with a crispy Parmesan crust, served with a rich creamy garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the chicken by patting the breasts dry and pounding them to an even thickness.
  3. Make the coating by combining Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  4. Prepare the egg wash by whisking the eggs in another bowl.
  5. Coat the chicken by dipping it into the egg wash and then into the Parmesan mixture, ensuring it sticks.
  6. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
  7. Sear the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  8. Bake the skillet in the oven for 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  9. Sauté the minced garlic in the skillet until fragrant, then stir in the heavy cream and simmer until thickened.
  10. Serve the chicken topped with creamy garlic sauce and garnished with parsley.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider using whole wheat breadcrumbs or baking the chicken instead of frying.
