Description

A nostalgic combination of peanut butter and chocolate in a simple, satisfying treat that’s perfect for gatherings and snacking!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup honey or corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the Peanut Butter and Honey in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
  2. Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, and mix well.
  3. Coat the Rice Krispies in a large bowl with the peanut butter mixture until evenly covered.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan evenly, compacting it well.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or over a double boiler until smooth.
  6. Spread the melted chocolate over the Rice Krispies mixture in the pan.
  7. Cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

For a fun twist, sprinkle sea salt on top of the chocolate before it sets. Store in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature.
