Description

Delightfully chewy Peanut Butter Cookie Bars that encapsulate the homely comfort of freshly baked cookies, shaped into neat squares.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the peanut butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well until everything is thoroughly incorporated.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top for an even bake.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before slicing into bars. Enjoy!
