Description

A nostalgic dessert that combines the delightful flavors of peanut butter and jelly in a delicious cake, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup grape or strawberry jelly
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time.
  4. Whisk together the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between two greased 9-inch round cake pans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Spread jelly on top of one cake layer and place the second layer on top.
  10. Beat together the powdered sugar, peanut butter, and milk for the frosting.
  11. Spread the peanut butter frosting over the cake.
  12. Slice and serve to your guests!
