- 1 tablespoon milk, optional
- Chopped pistachios or sprinkles, optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
- Beat together the softened butter, pistachio pudding mix, and white sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs, vanilla, and almond extract, then mix until fully combined and fluffy.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan.
- Beat together the softened cream cheese, butter, vanilla, almond extract, and powdered sugar until fluffy.
- If needed, add milk to achieve a creamy, spreadable consistency.
- Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled bars and top with chopped pistachios or sprinkles if desired.
- Cut the cooled bars into squares and serve.
