Description

A quick and easy recipe for delicious Plain Lo Mein Noodles, perfect as a main course or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces lo mein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot. Add the lo mein noodles and cook according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced bell peppers, julienned carrots, and bean sprouts. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Add the cooked lo mein noodles to the pan.
  6. Pour the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using) over the noodles and mix well.
  7. Add the chopped green onions. Stir everything together for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Notes

Garnish with extra green onions or sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
