Description

A creamy and hearty Pork Chop Casserole that combines tender pork chops with rice and mushroom soup, evoking warm family dinner memories.


Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cups rice
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Brown the pork chops on both sides in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Mix together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, sliced mushrooms, and chopped onions in a large baking dish.
  5. Add the uncooked rice and chicken broth to the mixture.
  6. Layer the browned pork chops on top of the mixture.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender.
