- 2 cups pretzel crumbs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Set up your breading station in three bowls: Bowl 1 with flour, Bowl 2 with whisked eggs, and Bowl 3 with pretzel crumbs.
- Dip each chicken breast first into the flour, shaking off excess.
- Next, dip it into the egg mixture and allow excess to drip off.
- Finally, press the chicken into the pretzel crumbs until fully coated. Repeat for all chicken breasts.
- Place the breaded chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle with olive oil for added crispiness.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) and is golden brown.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine olive oil, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce; stir until well mixed.
- Gradually add the heavy cream, stirring continuously until smooth.
- Reduce heat to low, add shredded cheddar cheese, and stir until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the crispy chicken drizzled with mustard-cheddar sauce.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider double-coating the chicken. Let the chicken rest after baking for juicier results.
