- 3/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/3 cup yogurt
- 5 cloves garlic, freshly minced
- 1.5 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 3/4 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and flatten thick sections.
- Mix the yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, oregano, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Place the chicken in a bowl or zip-top bag, pour the marinade over, and coat evenly.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
- Remove chicken from the fridge and let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.
- For grilling, heat the grill to medium-high and cook chicken for 6-8 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- For baking, place chicken on a lined baking sheet and bake at 425°F for 16-18 minutes until it reaches 165°F.
- For air frying, cook in the air fryer at 375°F for 8 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 4-7 minutes.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Marinate longer for richer flavor. Fresh herbs can enhance taste. Letting chicken rest post-cooking improves texture.
