Description

A hearty one-pot meal combining ground beef and egg pasta, perfect for family nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (Substitution: Use ground turkey for a lighter option.)
  • 12 oz Egg Pasta (Prep Note: Cook until just al dente.)
  • 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter (Substitution: Olive oil can be used for a dairy-free version.)
  • 1 medium Onion (Diced) (Prep Note: Dice into 1/2-inch pieces.)
  • 10.75 oz Tomato Soup (Substitution: Use homemade tomato sauce for a fresher flavor.)
  • 10.5 oz Mushroom Soup (Substitution: Cream of chicken or celery can work in a pinch.)
  • 12 oz Evaporated Milk (Substitution: Regular milk can be used, but the sauce may be slightly less rich.)
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce (Notes: Use low-sodium soy sauce for a gluten-free version.)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder (Substitution: Fresh minced garlic can be used.)
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper (Adjust to taste; the soups are already quite salty.)
  • 1 cup Pepper Jack Cheese (Substitution: Cheddar cheese for a milder option.)
  • 2 Tbsp Green Onions (Sliced) (Prep Note: Scatter on top before serving.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until it becomes soft.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until brown and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the tomato soup, mushroom soup, evaporated milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until combined.
  5. In a separate pot, cook the egg pasta according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture. Stir well to mix everything together.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread evenly.
  8. Sprinkle the Pepper Jack cheese on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Top with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Add sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor and texture. Do not overcook the pasta.
