Description

A quick and hearty stir fry packed with sausage and vegetables, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Sausage (pork, chicken, or turkey)
  • 4 cups Cabbage (chopped)
  • 2 cups Bell Peppers (sliced, any color)
  • 1 medium Onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil (or olive oil)
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by heating the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sausage to the skillet, cooking until browned and fully cooked. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Once the sausage is cooked, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion starts to soften.
  4. Next, stir in the chopped cabbage and sliced bell peppers. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Finally, drizzle the soy sauce over the mixture. If you like it a bit spicy, add the red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Cook for another minute, then remove from heat.

Notes

Serve alone or over rice/noodles. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.
