Description

A quick and healthy side dish featuring the earthy flavor of mushrooms and the bright crunch of green beans.

Ingredients

  • Fresh green beans
  • Mushrooms
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Lemon juice
  • Fresh herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Trim the ends of the green beans and wash them.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add the mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
  5. Add the green beans and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are bright green and tender.
  6. Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to taste.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the skillet while sautéing for a nice golden color on the mushrooms. You can vary the vegetables and herbs to your taste.
