Description

A delicious low-carb take on the classic Korean dish, featuring tender beef marinated in a savory sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoons sugar-free brown sweetener
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Slice the steak very thinly using a sharp knife, aiming for about 1/8 inch thick slices.
  2. Combine the soy sauce (or coconut aminos), sugar-free brown sweetener, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger paste in a large bowl.
  3. Add the thinly sliced steak into the marinade, tossing it thoroughly to coat every piece.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Cook the marinated steak in batches, ensuring even cooking.
  7. Transfer cooked steak to a plate and keep warm, adding more oil as needed.
  8. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
