Description
A fun and tasty twist on traditional burgers served in a bowl, perfect for a lighter meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 3 medium Red Potatoes
- 1 cup Onions
- 1 cup Shredded Cheese
- 1/2 cup Mayo
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Mustard
- 1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
- 1/2 cup Pickles
- 1 cup Lettuce
Instructions
- Start by washing and cutting the red potatoes into small cubes. Boil them in water until tender, about 10-15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat. Season it with Cajun seasoning as it cooks.
- In another pan, caramelize the onions until golden brown, which takes about 10 minutes.
- Mix the mayo, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl to create your sauce.
- In a large bowl, layer the cooked potatoes at the bottom.
- Add the cooked ground beef on top of the potatoes.
- Spoon the caramelized onions over the beef.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and then add pickles and lettuce.
- Drizzle your sauce over the entire bowl. Toss gently to combine if you like.
Notes
For a creamier texture, you can add more mayo or even a splash of sour cream. Experiment with different toppings like avocado, jalapeños, or even a fried egg.
