Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter (active and bubbly)
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast

Instructions

  1. Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
  2. Add the sourdough starter, olive oil, and salt to the mixture.
  3. Gradually add the flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until doubled, about 1-2 hours.
  6. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Cover and let it rise again for about 30-60 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing.
