Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 pig feet
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Fresh herbs for garnish (e.g., parsley)
Instructions
- Clean the pig feet by scrubbing them under cold water.
- In a large pot, add chopped onion, minced garlic, and pig feet.
- Pour in chicken broth and apple cider vinegar, then season with salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper if using.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
- Simmer for 120-180 minutes until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
Take your time when simmering; the longer, the better for tender and flavorful meat. Adjust spices to your liking, and for a thicker sauce, simmer the broth uncovered at the end.
