Description

A delicious and hearty dish showcasing the unique flavors of pig feet, perfect for a taste of Southern culture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 pig feet
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (e.g., parsley)

Instructions

  1. Clean the pig feet by scrubbing them under cold water.
  2. In a large pot, add chopped onion, minced garlic, and pig feet.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and apple cider vinegar, then season with salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper if using.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
  5. Simmer for 120-180 minutes until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Take your time when simmering; the longer, the better for tender and flavorful meat. Adjust spices to your liking, and for a thicker sauce, simmer the broth uncovered at the end.
