Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  3. Cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate 2 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then mix in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the buttery mixture until just combined.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack before serving.
