Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 package pastry shells (or dough)
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a bit of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until soft.
  2. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with taco seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, then mix in salsa and remove from heat.
  3. Preheat the oven or oil for frying.
  4. Roll out the pastry dough and cut into circles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center, top with cheese, and fold the dough over to form pockets. Seal the edges.
  6. Bake or fry the taco pockets until golden and crispy.
