- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In Bowl 1, combine the flour, salt, and pepper.
- In Bowl 2, beat the eggs until well mixed.
- In Bowl 3, mix the breadcrumbs, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Wrap each mozzarella stick in a slice of bacon, ensuring complete coverage.
- Dip each bacon-wrapped stick into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated sticks on a plate and freeze for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or heat oil in a deep fryer.
- Bake the sticks for about 15 minutes or fry until golden brown and crispy.
- Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use low-moisture mozzarella to prevent oozing. Freezing the sticks is crucial for keeping cheese intact.
