Description

A simple, baked dish that combines the great flavors of sushi in a crowd-pleasing meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 lb cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Nori sheets (for serving)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then combine with 2 1/2 cups water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Mix the flaked salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, and rice vinegar in a bowl until well combined.
  4. Spread the cooked rice evenly in a baking dish.
  5. Top the rice with the spicy salmon mixture, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, until heated through.
  7. Serve the sushi bake with sliced avocado, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions, alongside nori sheets for wrapping.

Notes

This dish is best served warm right from the oven. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
