Description

Delightful, soft, and chewy cookies with a powdered sugar coating, perfect for spring celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Food coloring (pastel colors)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the granulated sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture.
  5. Divide the dough into portions and mix in different food coloring to create pastel colors.
  6. Roll the dough into balls, then roll them in powdered sugar.
  7. Place the cookies on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.
