Description

This Easy Starbucks Grilled Cheese recipe brings the famous café flavor right to your kitchen. Perfect for a quick lunch or a comforting snack, this grilled cheese is simple to prepare and delivers gooey, melty goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices sourdough bread (thick-cut)
  • 2 slices white cheddar cheese (sharp preferred)
  • 2 slices yellow cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter (softened)
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder (optional, mix into butter)

Instructions

  1. Remove the butter from the fridge 30 minutes before use.
  2. Slice the bread if needed and let the cheese come to room temperature.
  3. Optional: Mix garlic powder into the softened butter for added flavor.
  4. Spread the butter mixture on the outer side of both slices of bread.
  5. On the non-buttered side, layer one slice of white cheddar, two slices of yellow cheddar, and another slice of white cheddar. Close the sandwich with the second slice of bread.
  6. Warm a skillet over medium heat until hot.
  7. Place the sandwich in the skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Press gently with a spatula while cooking.
  8. Let the sandwich cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

Serve warm with tomato soup or your favorite dipping sauce. Pairs nicely with coffee or tea.
